TULSA-PRO® is Versatile by Design
TULSA-PRO offers unique flexibility that delivers a customized plan for every patient.
Transurethral ultrasound ablation (TULSA) ablates prostate tissue using in-bore real-time MRI planning, monitoring, visualization, and active temperature feedback control. Patient specific planning provides the physician with the ability and the control to customize the plan to minimize thermal impact to critical structures surrounding the prostate including the external urethral sphincter, rectum and neurovascular bundles.
The revolutionary design of TULSA-PRO with transurethral ultrasound and real-time thermal mapping allows the physician to ablate different types of prostate disease with unparalleled accuracy. Displayed in our featured image is a depiction of a recent case performed with TULSA-PRO showing how a customized plan can target a wide range of variables presented by an individual patient’s disease state and priorities. In this example, the patient had Intermediate Risk Grade Group 2 prostate cancer corresponding with an isolated PI-RADS 4 MRI lesion in the right apex to mid-gland anterolateral peripheral zone, along with symptomatic BPH. After consultation with the patient, it was determined that ablation of the transition zone in addition to targeted heating of the index lesion, while preserving the bladder neck and left NVB, was a safe and effective procedure plan.
TULSA-PRO® is CE marked, Health Canada approved, and cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
